SUMMARY: The purpose of this role is to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) around asset engineering, project management, construction for reliability on equipment design, install, capital projects, and precision reliability processes for the North American operations. In addition to providing technical expertise in a wide range of areas, the role will include supporting the development, implementation, training, teaching, management and coaching of a world class manufacturing reliability system.

POSITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assists with all capital and major maintenance projects.
· Observes, analyzes and documents existing production processes and recommends design changes as needed.
· Carries out engineering activities as required to improve manufacturing operations, quality control, process control, safety, yields and pollution control.
· Designs reliability strategies for critical equipment, and oversees preventive task execution by maintenance and operations at the appropriate frequencies to minimize unplanned production loss due to critical failures.
· Audits maintenance management systems (CMMS) to ensure reliability of assets, corrective and preventive work scheduling/execution, and cost visibility.
· Ensure equipment and processes comply with all codes and regulations.
· Helps to establish and monitor compliance with engineering policies/ procedures for installation, modification, testing, and operation of new as well as existing equipment.
· Supervises major installations. Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
· Supervises outside contractors and employees involved in construction projects.
· Responsible for periodic auditing of all assets to ensure that they properly run and are maintained.
- Management of loss elimination through reliability engineering
- Risk Management of FMEA analysis and regional spares management
- Provided subject matter expertise in the following areas:
- Capital Project Management
- Construction and install practices for manufacturing
- Machinery design and procurement
- Heavy industrial manufacturing Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
- Power Transmission (drivetrain, gearbox, coupling, bearings, etc.)
- Development of corporate programs and processes for the above areas of expertise.
- Develop processes and standards
- Generate technical documentation in the form of standards, manuals and/or guidelines
- Develop, coordinate and offer training on programs and processes
- Audit, inspect and report on the performance of the NA plants with respect to the standards.
- Participate/lead RCFA’s on critical machine center failures across
- Provide expertise during planning phases of large capital and annual outages for the system
- Provide expertise during prolonged unplanned outages where local plant resources are struggling to return equipment to operation.
- Develop Asset Lifecycle plans for the critical high capital assets globally
- Contingency plans
- Planned Refurbishment/Rebuild/Replacement
- Managing obsolescence
- Provide Coaching and mentorship of plant engineering and leadership teams in developing and implementing reliability engineering solutions.
- Participate in Reliability auditing. Make recommendations on implementing solutions.
- Work with plant project engineering to ensure Design for Reliability concepts have been incorporated to ensure the maintainability of new and modified installations by using the life cycle asset management process.
- Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from four year college or university and a minimum of five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the areas of:
- Capital Project Management
- Construction and install practices for manufacturing
- Machinery design and procurement
o Heavy industrial manufacturing Mechanical and Electrical knowledge
o Power Transmission (drivetrain, gearbox, coupling, bearings, etc.)
· Engineering/Operations/Maintenance Leadership
· Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP and various CMMS applications.
· Must be comfortable teaching and presenting to large groups at all levels of the organization
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
