About the Role
As our Hygiene Coordinator, you'll play a key role in making sure our hygiene and pediatric schedules stay full and our patients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they reach out. You'll be a master communicator and a scheduling pro, keeping our patients connected to the care they need while helping our office run like clockwork.
What You'll Do
- Keep the hygiene and pediatric schedules full by proactively filling openings, confirming appointments, and following up on cancellations
- Respond promptly and warmly to patient texts, voicemails, and emails
- Greet patients with a genuine smile and check them in efficiently and accurately
- Reach out to patients due or overdue for hygiene visits to get them back on the schedule
- Communicate with patients about appointment details, reminders, and any scheduling changes
- Coordinate closely with hygienists, pediatric providers, and the front office team to keep the day running smoothly
- Help resolve scheduling conflicts with a positive, solutions-first approach
- Maintain accurate patient records and update scheduling notes as needed
- Support a warm, welcoming environment for every patient, every visit
- Jump in wherever needed to support the front office team and overall patient experience
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a dental office preferred, especially with scheduling or patient coordination
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal — you're comfortable on the phone, over text, and in person
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A warm, welcoming personality with a genuine passion for patient care
- Comfort with Open Dental (training provided if needed)
- A positive, proactive attitude and a team-player mindset
