SMT TECHNICIAN
Requires minimum 5 Plus years hands on working knowledge & experience with all processes related to Surface Mount Assembly & Secondary Processes (X-Ray, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, Hand Solder, Rework Station). Experience with Juki P&P machines necessary
Responsibilities:
· Full understanding of PCB assembly Processes, Specifications, Qualification, Control
· Process Creation, Verification, Monitoring of Challenging Assemblies (Large Packages, Small packages, POP assembly, LGA, High-Density, High-Speed Applications)
· Process Control and Monitoring leading to high percentage FPY
· Failure analysis capability
· Creating Specific Machines Process Parameters (Printer(s), P&P, Reflow, X-Ray, R/W Station, Selective & Wave Soldering, PCBA Cleanliness
· Machine operating experience with Dek, Fuji, Koh Young, Juki, Ersa machines
· Tooling specification (Stencil Design, Fixture Design, Jigs)
· Understand and assist with Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI)
· PCB Fabrication Knowledge highly desirable
· Excellent Communication skills
· Teamwork and Proactive
· Proven Knowledge / Experience and Hands on Skills
· Contribute to Equipment Selection
· Generate FPY & Defect Analysis Data
· Other duties, activities, and jobs as assigned.
Other requirements:
- Bachelors or AA Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 Plus years of Low Volume/High Product mix experience in Dynamic, Fast Paced Contract Manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to interpret quality control specifications, assembly drawings, bills of materials,
and wiring diagrams, in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards. ISO QMS familiarity is desirable
- Must be computer literate.
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process in an ISO 9001 quality-based system.
