American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department
-
Level I and Level II Trauma Center setting
-
12-hour night shifts (3x12), 19:00-7:00
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call requirements
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

Epic charting system preferred
-
Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
-
Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
-
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
-
Teaching hospital, community hospital, Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
-
Skills required: Respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressor management

Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols

Provide emergency nursing care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population in a high-acuity trauma setting

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Holiday coverage required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three major holidays fall within the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid scheduling delays

Previous Piedmont employees (perm, per diem, or FCSS) must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
