About the Role
As our Marketing Assistant, you'll work directly alongside our Digital & Marketing Manager to support both the day-to-day marketing operations and the long-term growth of SAR.
This is a collaborative role where no two weeks look exactly the same. You'll help keep projects moving, maintain our digital presence, and support the systems that allow our marketing department to operate efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of projects while also asking questions and learning along the way.
This position is primarily hybrid. Depending on the week, we'll either meet in person in San Francisco or collaborate virtually.
What You'll Do
- Assist with planning, creating, and scheduling social media content
- Help maintain and update our website
- Support marketing campaigns and digital communications
- Organize and maintain marketing documents, templates, and internal systems
- Assist with project management and task tracking across multiple initiatives
- Help coordinate marketing assets for clients and internal projects
- Support event marketing and community engagement initiatives
- Conduct research for partnerships, marketing opportunities, and industry trends
- Assist with general administrative tasks that support the marketing department

Bonus Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required:
- Canva
- WordPress or Webflow
- Meta Business Suite
- Google Workspace
- Mailchimp or email marketing platforms
- Project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, etc.)
- Photography or short-form video editing
Position Details
- Pay: $20/hour
- Hours: Approximately 10–12 hours per week
- Location: Hybrid (San Francisco and virtual)
- Schedule: Flexible based on availability and project needs
