Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the building in a clean, orderly, safe condition as outlined in Birch’s Health and Facility Safety Checklist. The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning duties, removing trash, maintaining a schedule of deep cleaning activities, reporting maintenance issues within the residences as they arise, and notifying management of the need for repairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform routine cleaning duties (i.e., regular dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and garbage disposal, etc.).

Perform cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and common living areas in residence.

Reports all facilities or maintenance issues and hazardous conditions to Residence Manager or designee in a timely manner.

Follow sanitizing checklist as it relates to COVID-19.

Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma/ GED
EXPERIENCE
Min. 1-2 years of housekeeper experience in health, treatment, residential program or related setting
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Ability to effectively present information to management in verbal and written formats.

The ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.

Pack household supplies in their designated area when delivered weekly.
Reasoning Skills

Ability to work within general guidelines and minimal supervision.

Ability to organize, prioritize and execute responsibilities.
Physical Demands

Required to lift boxes of items delivered to the residence on a weekly basis.

Required to operate household cleaning equipment.

The residence must be clean, orderly/neat, and free of trip hazards and harmful chemicals.
