Full-Day 3s Preschool Teacher
Location: Grove Preschool
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 a.m.–2:40 p.m.
Grove Preschool is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Full-Day 3s Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children, committed to creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, and values building strong partnerships with families.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for three year old children.
- Follow the established curriculum and develop curriculum and lesson plans for designated instructional days.
- Create a daily classroom schedule that includes structured learning, free play, and hands on experiences.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to manage the classroom and delegate responsibilities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students and their families, communicating regularly regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Observe and evaluate student development.
- Communicate classroom concerns or student needs to the Director.
- Prepare lesson plans for substitute teachers.
- Conduct annual parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support school programs and events.
- Participate in Open House and other school activities.
- Commit to the school's academic calendar and policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education required.
- Teaching certificate.
- Minimum of two years of preschool teaching experience or experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, classroom management, and teamwork skills.
- Warm, patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
