Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Pultrusion Operator, where you'll play a vital role in producing high-quality composite materials through the pultrusion process. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor pultrusion machines to produce continuous profiles from raw materials such as fibers and resins.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and finished products using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process, identifying defects or deviations and implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage procedures.
- Maintain detailed production records, shift logs, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, or secondary operations such as cutting or finishing using hand tools or press brake machines as needed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fiberglass extrusion.
- Familiarity with fiberglass processing techniques and quality inspection tools such as micrometers and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to plastics handling, machining operations, and warehouse activities.
