We are looking for a registered dental assistant to provide quality care for our patients. This person will serve primarily as a dental assistant but will also help in our front office as needed. Patient hours are 8-5 Monday-Thursday & 8-12 Friday. Strong preference to RDAs or current dental assistants with relevant experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and clean up treatment rooms before and after procedures.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Assist chairside by providing instruments, preparing materials, and suctioning.
- Take quality x-rays.
- Educate patients by giving instructions for oral care following dental treatment procedures.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Keep information confidential in accordance with HIPAA.
- Perform various light front office duties as necessary, including checking patients in/out and answering phones/emails/texts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be reliable and able to show up to work on time.
- Must be a team player, friendly, smart, diligent, willing to learn, and drama free!
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently.
- Dental Assisting Certification preferred or dental experience.
- Radiology Certification required.
- CPR certification required.
- Must be computer literate.
- Eaglesoft experience preferred.
