Winnebago Mental Health Institute (WMHI) within DHS is recruiting to fill multiple Limited Term Employment (LTE) CNA positions, also known as Psychiatric Care Technician Advanced (PCT-A). WMHI is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults.

LTE positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to a permanent civil service classified position, and do not lead to permanent status.

Wisconsin residency is required for LTE positions.

No more than 1039 hours may be worked within a 12-month period.
Now hiring positions with a start date of July 13, 2026, or August 24, 2026 based on the number of positions open.
Available shifts: PM (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) or NOC (10:30 pm – 7:00 am)
Please note that the first 3 weeks of employment will consist of training. Time off will not be approved during this 3-week training period. Employees must be available to train/work for 40 hours per week Monday – Friday primarily from 6:30 am – 3:00 pm from July 13, 2026, through July 31, 2026, or August 24, 2026, through September 14, 2026, with availability to work designated shift for clinicals.
These are not Pro Re Nata (PRN) positions. These positions will work every other weekend in addition to three 8-hour shifts, for a total of 5 shifts, within a two-week pay period.
