Job Summary
We are seeking a professional CDL A Driver to join our transportation team, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of freight across designated routes. The ideal candidate will operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. Our drivers are expected to assist with loading, receiving, and putting away inventory. Must be able to lift 50-100lbs. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks with automatic transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Transport freight using different trailer types such as , flatbeds
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, utilizing equipment like forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Manage route driving schedules to optimize delivery times while maintaining fuel efficiency.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with load regulations.
- Assist with the maintenance of trucks and trailers, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all company policies regarding hours of service, safety protocols, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
Experience
- 2+ years experience as a CDL A driver with a focus on freight delivery in various truck configurations.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Experience handling flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving load & unload procedures across multiple routes.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation.
- Ability to navigate using GPS or route planning software efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence.
Pay: $26.00 per hour
