Materials Testing Technician Overview

Materials Testing Technician Duties
- Conduct dailyquality control for density, weights, and other pavement tests.
- Collaborate with construction teams and managers on active roadway projects.
- Interpret technical specifications for asphalt, concrete, and aggregate materials.
- Operate highly specialized instruments to measure density, strength, and composition of pavement materials.
- Follow standardized TxDOT procedures to ensure construction material quality.
Materials Testing Technician Required Skills and Qualification
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher
- MATH SKILLS: Ability to perform precise measurements, add and subtract, double-check math, and provide results without error.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-POUND BUCKETS of material.
- WRITING SKILLS: Ability write down CLEAR & LEGIBLE data and numbers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
