Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, energetic attitude and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest experience
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information and taking reservations or inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service transitions and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations and problem-solving skills
- Support overall restaurant operations by assisting with guest services, including providing directions or recommendations as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host/Hostess or in food service roles, with strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly phone etiquette
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for reservations and order management
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred; hotel or hospitality background is a plus
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Strong guest relations skills, ensuring each visitor feels welcomed and valued from arrival to departure
- Knowledge of food service procedures, guest services standards, and hospitality best practices
