SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist-Compliance (HR Specialist) is a key member of the Human Resources Operations team responsible for supporting a culture of compliance, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization. This position serves as a subject matter resource for employment-related laws, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies, helping to ensure Human Resources practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned with organizational objectives. Under the direction of the HR Operations Manager, the HR Specialist conducts audits and reviews of HR processes, employee records, HRIS data, payroll, benefits administration, recruitment activities, onboarding practices, and other employment-related functions to identify risks, promote regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement efforts. The specialist monitors changes in employment legislation and regulatory requirements, evaluates the potential impact on Human Resources operations, and assists with implementing necessary policy, process, and procedural updates.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required, or combination of equivalent education and experience.
EXPERIENCE
At least 1 year of prior experience in Human Resources required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness.

Proven ability to manage high volume workload and competing priorities appropriately.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and articulate recommendations.

Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism, including maintaining confidentiality.

Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to quickly learn HRIS and related systems.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment, including making decisions under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Substantial sitting and walking. Moderate standing. Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds). At times may be subject to high levels of stress, managing competing priorities, and peaks and valleys in workload. Requires considerable mental effort and logical thought processing. Prolonged periods of working on a computer.
