We are seeking an Occupational Health Paramedic to join our team.
Job Description - Occupational Health Paramedic
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the patient’s condition and perform preliminary diagnosis. Refers employees to clinic if appropriate for follow-up and counseling.
- Attend to injuries or sudden illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital simple and advanced treatments (first aid, CPR, administering injections and oxygen etc.) or surgical procedures
- Serves as a point of contact for employees, addressing their questions and concerns during PM shifts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee interactions, care plans, and outcomes.
- Understands the policies and procedures associated with occupational health assessments.
- Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards
- Operate ambulance equipment
- Monitor patient’s condition in route to the hospital
- Collaborate with interested parties (police, firefighting unit, doctors etc.)
- Stay up-to-date on continuing education for new treatment and medical procedures
- Issue temporary employee badges when lost after hours
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as a paramedic
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology and medications
- Ability to stay calm and make the right decisions in adverse conditions
- Excellent working knowledge of medical equipment and devices
- Valid driver’s license
- Certified CPR Instructor
- High school diploma; Licensed Paramedic is a must
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 per hour
