Job Title: Medical assistant for a regenerative medicine and wellness clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Alternate between being a receptionist/scheduling patients, drawing blood and medical assisting with procedures.
- Marketing and sales competency is a big plus
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients for sterile processing in our lab to concentrate bone marrow or blood for a regenerative procedure.
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of specimens
- Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
- Properly dispose of biohazardous waste
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Valid phlebotomy certification or license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with infection control protocols
