American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and RCES or IBHRE certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington state.

Work setting is a hospital-based Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
-
Procedures include EP studies, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, electrophysiology evaluation, AICDs insertion/programming, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, tilt table study, cardiac implant closure device, hemodynamic monitoring, PPI, PA line insertion, right heart catheterization, temporary pacemaker, and Watchman procedures

Equipment used includes fluoroscopy, Philips systems, PACS, and ultrasound (preferred)

4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; may stay late for cases one day per week

No on-call required

Epic experience is not required but must be reported

Minimum of 2 years of EP Lab experience

ARRT (R), RCES (CCI), or RCIS certification required; RCIS (CCI) preferred

ACLS and BLS required
-
WA Rad Tech license required if applicable — proof of WA state license application is acceptable at time of consideration, though active licensure is preferred; candidates without a license in hand should anticipate a potential start date delay of up to 8 weeks

Proficiency in sterile technique and maintaining a sterile field
-
Skills required include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator duties, and scrub responsibilities

Fluoroscopy experience required

Willingness to float within the health system as needed

Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration

Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Performs invasive EP and cath lab procedures in collaboration with a cardiologist or radiologist
-
Applies principles of radiation protection and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures
-
Provides patient care essential to procedures, recognizes patient conditions, and initiates life support when necessary
-
Maintains equipment, inventory, and supplies; follows strict infection control and sterile technique protocols

Previous PeaceHealth employees (travel or permanent) must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates are not accepted; the local radius is defined as within 60 miles of the facility

All RTO requests must be disclosed upfront and approved prior to contract signing; no additional RTO will be approved after the contract is signed

Some holiday RTO may be approved depending on the unit
-
No facility modules are required
