Preproduction Assistant will support the preproduction process by handling fabric testing, cutting samples, preparing sewing assets, and assisting with other related tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that our manufacturing process starts smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fabric testing to ensure materials meet quality and performance standards.
- Cut samples accurately according to specifications.
- Prepare sewing assets, including assembling and organizing materials for production.
- Assist in coordinating with the design and production teams to ensure seamless workflow.
- Maintain detailed records of all preproduction activities.
- Inspect materials and samples for defects and report any issues to the relevant team members.
- Help with organizing and maintaining the preproduction workspace and inventory.
- Support other tasks as needed to facilitate the preproduction process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in apparel manufacturing is a plus.
- Previous experience in an apparel manufacturing or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and patterns.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic knowledge of fabric types and their properties.
- Proficiency in using cutting tools and other equipment related to sample preparation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed.
