POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Independent Contractor, the candidate will transport our customers' products from the warehouse to their points of sale, following assigned routes and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate delivers excellent customer service and completes assigned routes efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The role requires adaptability to a rigorous schedule of stops and deliveries.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Deliver product to various customer points of sale as an Independent Contractor. Responsible for on-time, accurate deliveries and providing excellent customer service, including:
- Cover assigned territory to meet delivery frequency in a company-provided vehicle
- Deliver product to each stop accurately and on schedule
- Ensure product is handled properly and arrives in good condition
- Capture delivery confirmation and data at all points of sale using mobile devices
- Know the nuances of each assigned stop — access points, delivery windows, and store-specific requirements
- Perform all duties safely, using proper safety techniques with company equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Able to drive more than 8 hours per shift, with stops to deliver product along the route
- Able to regularly lift up to 20 lbs. throughout each shift
- Able to consistently work the assigned schedule
- Able to read and follow assigned delivery routes
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent results while building organizational capability
- Flexible schedule — able to work variable hours, especially during holidays
- Strong self-management skills — able to complete daily procedures independently, without direct supervision
- Practices safe working habits at all times
- Detail-oriented — strong planning, analysis, and organizational skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license, issued at least two (2) years prior to the application date
- 2–5 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record required
- Minimum age: 27 years
- Experience driving a Non-CDL 26”FT/16”FT refrigerated (refer) box truck — vehicle provided by OTI Logistics
