What You Will Build
The Head of Logistics will be responsible for building and leading the logistics division of Starfruit Express. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who understands both execution and scale. You will be responsible for building:
- Delivery operations that are reliable, efficient, and repeatable
- Dispatch workflows that reduce confusion and improve execution
- Driver hiring, onboarding, training, and performance systems
- Route planning and capacity management processes
- Cold-chain standards that protect product quality
- Escalation procedures for delays, shortages, emergencies, and service issues
- Fleet utilization systems that control cost and support growth
- SOPs that make the operation less dependent on memory and heroics
- KPIs that measure performance, margin, service quality, and operational risk
- A logistics structure that can support growth across more customers, more vehicles, more drivers, and eventually more markets
The most important part of this role is not simply running deliveries. It is building a system that gets stronger as volume increases.

You should be comfortable with early-stage company dynamics, including changing priorities, incomplete processes, and the need to make decisions with limited information.

You should be able to identify operational risks early, communicate clearly, and turn problems into repeatable improvements. This role is best for someone who has either scaled an operation before or has been close enough to scaling to understand what breaks when volume increases.
This is not a role for someone who needs everything already built. It is not a role for someone who wants a slow corporate environment, a narrow job description, or a comfortable routine. This is a role for a leader, someone who wants ownership. You will be expected to think, build, execute, improve, and lead.
Compensation and Growth
The starting salary is $120,000 per year.
We conduct biannual performance and compensation reviews because we are a fast-growing company at an early stage, and we want strong performers to grow with the business. As the logistics division expands, this role is expected to carry significantly greater responsibility and compensation potential.
For exceptional performance, we are also open to offering an equity bonus tied to long-term contribution and company impact. Our belief is simple: if you help build the logistics engine that allows Starfruit Express to scale, you should participate in the upside created by that growth.
