Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure they meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, floors, and surrounding areas to promote a safe working environment
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables and organizing supplies as needed to support kitchen operations
- Support catering events and banquet setups by providing clean dishware and assisting with basic food handling tasks
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes for service periods
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and uphold hygiene standards
- Help with general cleaning duties throughout the restaurant or hotel dining areas to maintain a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Basic understanding of food handling safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations
