American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Short Stay position in St. Louis, MO, requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience on a night shift schedule.

7E Medical Admit Unit in an acute care hospital setting

Patient population is 50% Medical and 50% Telemetry, adults only
-
Typical patient ratio of 4–6:1
-
Uses standard telemetry unit nursing equipment
-
EMR: Epic
-
Night shift, 7p–7a (4x12s)
-
Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
-
Floating required upon request as needed
-
No on-call requirements
-
Active MO or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
-
Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
-
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
-
Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)

Flu vaccination required for assignments running November 1 through April 1 (exemptions subject to facility approval)

Performs direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adult patients

Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments
-
Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)

Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week period is allowed, but must be made up during the assignment
-
Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to local contract terms, including a limit of 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
