We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitorial & Facility Cleaning Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional facility in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday day-shift position combining routine janitorial and facility-cleaning responsibilities with occasional basic building-maintenance and office-move support.
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable performing physical work, and takes pride in keeping a facility clean and well maintained.
Previous janitorial, custodial, industrial cleaning, facility maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience is helpful, but extensive experience is not required.
What You'll DoJanitorial & Facility Cleaning
- Perform daily cleaning throughout the facility.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and designated work areas.
- Clean and maintain restrooms.
- Empty trash and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Perform general interior and exterior building cleanup.
- Clean common areas and other assigned facility spaces.
- Restock restroom, cleaning, and facility supplies.
- Collect and properly handle recyclable materials.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas throughout the facility.
- Identify areas requiring additional cleaning or attention and address them appropriately.
Supplies & Facility Support
- Receive, unpack, organize, and stock janitorial and facility supplies.
- Monitor cleaning and facility supplies and communicate when additional materials are needed.
- Maintain organized storage and supply areas.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as needed.
- Support internal office moves and relocations.
- Assist with the teardown, movement, and assembly of office cubicles when required.
Basic Building Maintenance
This position may also provide minor general building-maintenance support as needed.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with routine building startup activities.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor facility repairs within assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with minor plumbing-related maintenance.
- Assist with minor electrical-related maintenance when appropriate and authorized.
- Replace lights and other basic building components.
- Perform general interior and exterior facility upkeep.
- Identify maintenance concerns and report issues requiring specialized repair.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment to complete assigned facility-maintenance tasks.
- Help ensure the building remains clean, functional, safe, and ready for daily operations.

QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–2 years of janitorial, custodial, cleaning, facility maintenance, industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Basic knowledge of manual work techniques.
- Ability to safely use common janitorial tools, cleaning equipment, and basic hand tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous commercial or industrial janitorial experience.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial facility.
- General familiarity with facility or building maintenance.
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment.
- Basic preventative-maintenance experience.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, or general repair knowledge.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements associated with janitorial and general facility work, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing repetitive cleaning activities.
- Moving cleaning equipment, tools, supplies, furniture, and materials.
- Working in both interior and exterior areas as assigned.
- Performing physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Lifting and moving materials associated with the position, including heavier items when required.
The position may require lifting up to 50–100 pounds depending on the task. Team lifting or appropriate material-handling methods should be used when necessary and in accordance with established safety procedures.
