Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week (Also have option for 48 hours in a week)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing for a 13-week travel assignment in Sioux City, IA. Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Step-Down/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Experience caring for Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to float within the same nursing specialty as needed.
- Must meet travel eligibility requirements, including applicable distance guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are welcome).
- Experience with Epic EMR.
- Experience working in high-acuity acute care settings.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients.
- Assess patient conditions, administer treatments, and monitor responses to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Float to other units within the same nursing specialty, including the Emergency Department, as needed.
Pay: $66.00 - $70.00 per hour
