Job Title: Production Specialist- Skin
Position Description: The Skin Department Production Specialist is responsible for the installation of aluminum and metal exterior panels on mobile medical coaches. This role focuses on measuring, fitting, fastening, and sealing exterior wall systems to ensure structural integrity, weather resistance, and a high-quality finished appearance.
This position plays a critical role in protecting the unit from external elements and preparing the coach for interior build-out and finishing stages. The specialist works in a fast-paced production environment and collaborates with framing, electrical, and finishing teams to ensure proper alignment and fitment of all exterior skin components.
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
- Measure, cut, and install aluminum and metal wall panels on mobile medical trailers
- Align and secure exterior panels to framing structures according to specifications
- Install fasteners, rivets, adhesives, and sealants to ensure durability and weatherproofing
- Read and interpret work orders and panel layout drawings
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Ensure all panels are installed straight, level, and free of defects
- Seal seams, joints, and edges to prevent water intrusion and air leaks
- Inspect materials for damage or defects prior to installation
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Identify and communicate material shortages, misalignments, or production issues
- Assist with exterior trim, finishing components, and final detailing as needed
- Follow all ISO, safety, and company compliance standards
- Maintain a phenomenal attendance record
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Experience working with metal or aluminum materials in a production or construction environment
- Ability to read tape measures and perform precise measurements
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools (drills, rivet guns, saws, etc.)
- Knowledge of sealing methods, adhesives, and weatherproofing techniques (preferred)
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders if required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Experience:
- Experience in construction or manufacturing required
- Experience in RV, trailer, or mobile unit production preferred
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Trade school or technical training preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work in a production environment and on ladders or elevated surfaces
Additional requirements:
This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work a general schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role.
