We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Banquet Captain to lead our banquet service team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of banquet service, including setup, service flow, and breakdown for events of varying sizes.
- Lead and motivate banquet staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high standards of food presentation, customer service, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure timely food preparation and proper presentation aligned with event specifications.
- Manage inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and equipment to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including billing accuracy and POS (Point of Sale) system operations such as Aloha POS and Micros POS systems.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards throughout all stages of event execution.
- Assist in shift management by scheduling staff efficiently, monitoring performance, and addressing any operational issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management, preferably within a quick service & fast food restaurant or fine dining environment.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with team management, staff training, and development.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings with a focus on event coordination and execution.
- Leadership qualities including interviewing skills, shift management capabilities, and the ability to motivate a team effectively.
