Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Traffic Control Supervisor to oversee and coordinate traffic management operations on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. In this role, you will lead a team of traffic control personnel, manage the setup and maintenance of traffic control devices, and collaborate closely with construction crews and project managers. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth traffic flow around construction projects while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale civil infrastructure projects, highway maintenance, and utility work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities across multiple construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards such as FMCSA and GDOT regulations.
- Set up and maintain Traffic Control Work Zones (roads and highways) to meet customers and GDOT and MUTCD guidelines.
- Work with a dedicated team to ensure safe and compliant work zones.
- Documentation of work zones.
- Flagger supervision.
Skills
- **MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE**
- Proven ability to lead a team in high-pressure environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations governing commercial vehicle operations on construction sites.
- Construction site experience with a focus on highway maintenance or utility work; familiarity with OSHA safety standards is preferred.
- Open to flexible work hours
- Willing to undergo a Background Check and Drug Screen. (We are a Second Chance Employer)
- Must have TCS (Traffic Control Supervisor Certification)
- Must be able to read and write
- Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to move heavy objects up to 50lbs, on occasion
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work around moving objects or vehicles
