About Hybrid Atlantic
Hybrid Atlantic is a boutique strategic advisory practice working at the intersection of political intelligence, strategic communications, geopolitical foresight, reputation, and technology-enabled monitoring.
We help organizations understand complex information environments, identify emerging narratives and risks, and communicate with clarity in moments shaped by politics, public opinion, regulation, technology, and trust. Our work combines open-source research, narrative analysis, geopolitical judgment, strategic writing, and AI-enabled tools.
Hybrid Atlantic is also developing technology initiatives, including Sentinel by Hybrid Atlantic, a monitoring workspace for tracking signals, narratives, actors, and briefing material across the information environment, and Augur, a forthcoming foresight and scenario-testing product.
About the role
Hybrid Atlantic is seeking a sharp, highly reliable Social Media & Strategic Communications Intern to support the firm’s public presence, with a particular focus on LinkedIn and professional social media strategy.
We are looking for someone who can help translate complex ideas into clear, credible, and engaging public-facing content. The intern will support content planning, drafting, platform adaptation, basic analytics, and research on the conversations shaping our fields: strategic communications, geopolitical risk, disinformation, AI governance, reputation, public affairs, and technology-enabled intelligence.
The role is designed for someone who wants to learn how a boutique advisory practice builds authority, trust, and visibility in a serious professional market.
What you will work on
The intern may support work including:
- Drafting LinkedIn posts, short updates, captions, founder posts, and thought-leadership content.
- Helping adapt content for other platforms, including X/Twitter, Instagram, newsletters, or short-form formats.
- Supporting a social media content calendar tied to Hybrid Atlantic’s services, insights, announcements, and technology roadmap.
- Researching timely news, reports, public debates, and industry conversations that could inform strong content.
- Studying how advisory firms, think tanks, political-risk companies, AI-governance organizations, and public-affairs actors communicate online.
- Helping develop content around political intelligence, geopolitical foresight, reputation, disinformation, AI governance, strategic communications, Sentinel by Hybrid Atlantic, and Augur.
- Drafting basic visual concepts, carousel outlines, or content briefs using tools such as Canva, Figma, or similar platforms.
- Monitoring engagement and helping identify which themes, formats, and messages are most effective.
- Contributing ideas to strengthen Hybrid Atlantic’s voice, audience growth, and brand clarity.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with strong judgment, strong writing, and genuine curiosity. The ideal candidate is comfortable with complex topics but knows how to make them readable.
Strong candidates will have:
- Excellent written English and the ability to write clearly, concisely, and professionally.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn as a platform for professional influence, thought leadership, and B2B visibility.
- Interest in strategic communications, geopolitics, AI, reputation management, public affairs, international relations, or disinformation.
- Ability to research unfamiliar topics and identify what is relevant, credible, and timely.
- A good instinct for tone.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing, audience engagement, content planning, or social media analytics.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, openness to feedback, and willingness to revise.
Helpful but not required
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- LinkedIn content creation, page management, or thought-leadership writing.
- Canva, Figma, CapCut, Descript, Buffer, Hootsuite, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools.
- Social media analytics, content scheduling, newsletter tools, or basic SEO.
- Writing for a student organization, campaign, publication, think tank, nonprofit, startup, consultancy, or professional account.
- Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, journalism, political communication, international relations, political science, public policy, security studies, business, or a related field.
- Interest in using AI tools responsibly to support drafting, research, editing, and content repurposing.
What you will gain
The intern will gain hands-on experience in strategic communications, LinkedIn content development, professional social media strategy, and the public positioning of a boutique advisory and technology practice.
You will learn how to turn research, analysis, and complex strategic ideas into content that builds credibility with professional audiences. You will also gain exposure to political intelligence, reputation strategy, technology-enabled monitoring, and the early development of advisory products such as Sentinel by Hybrid Atlantic and Augur.
This role is especially well suited for someone who wants to build a portfolio at the intersection of communications, politics, technology, and strategy.
