Public Area Cleaning Attendant

RCI Island Cleaners is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaning Attendant to help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the guest-facing areas at Ho‘olei at Grand Wailea.
The Public Area Cleaning Attendant is responsible for keeping the property’s common areas clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming for guests. This position focuses on the lobby, pool area, fitness center, public restrooms, and other assigned common areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain public restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and fixtures
- Clean and maintain the fitness center/gym and surrounding areas
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the pool deck and surrounding pool areas
- Clean and maintain the lobby and other guest common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
- Wipe down tables, counters, furniture, doors, railings, and other surfaces
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
- Clean glass doors, windows, and other high-touch surfaces
- Remove dirt, debris, leaves, and other materials from assigned areas
- Keep guest areas neat, clean, and presentable throughout the shift
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleanliness concerns
- Follow proper cleaning procedures and use cleaning products safely
- Report maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor
- Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning, janitorial, hotel, or resort experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Comfortable working around guests in a professional hospitality environment
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Work Environment
This is a guest-facing hospitality cleaning position at a luxury resort environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of keeping public areas consistently clean, sanitary, and welcoming for guests.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
