Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility or to appointments.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately using PCC
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills in geriatrics, phlebotomy, and hospital medicine.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant
- Experience in caregiving or related fields is highly desirable, especially in geriatrics or home care settings.
- Familiarity with PCC is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving patients when necessary.
