Overview
We are seeking Facilities Planners to support facility operations, maintenance planning, space utilization, and capital improvement projects. This role is responsible for coordinating facilities-related projects from concept through implementation while ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities planning, maintenance operations, construction projects, manufacturing, shipbuilding, military operations, industrial environments, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate facility space utilization and infrastructure improvements.
- Support equipment, machinery, and building maintenance projects.
- Manage facility modification and construction projects from planning through execution.
- Develop project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and timelines.
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, maintenance, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Review project scope, specifications, and requirements.
- Track project progress and provide status updates.
- Identify risks, resolve project issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support contract administration and change management activities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with facility planning initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

QualificationsFacilities Planner I
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Entry-level candidates welcome.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Facilities Planner II
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience OR Master's degree with 1+ year of related experience.
- Experience coordinating facilities, maintenance, construction, or industrial projects.
Facilities Planner III
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience OR Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience leading facility improvement, maintenance, construction, or capital projects.
Equivalent Experience May Include
- NNS Apprentice School Graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School Graduate
- Associate Degree plus relevant experience
- Military service (E-5 or above preferred)
- Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Industrial Maintenance, or related experience
