Sheppard Pratt School in Rockville (https://www.sheppardpratt.org/care-finder/sheppard-pratt-school-rockville/) is a nonpublic special education day school serving students ages 5-21 (grades K-12) with a range of needs including autism, development delay, emotional disability, multiple disabilities, other health impairments, specific learning disability, and speech or language impairments. Our small class sizes and individualized instruction ensure that students receive the attention and support they need to succeed academically and emotionally. Our team provides a supportive and structured environment that integrates specialized academic instruction, counseling, transition services, and behavioral modification tailored to each student’s unique needs.
What to expect.
You will perform a full range of occupational therapy (OT) services according to professional standards. This includes:
- Identifying, assessing, diagnosing, and treating students to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Promoting availability for learning, and physical and mental health well-being.
- Overseeing and supporting the development and delivery of related staff training programs.
- Meeting with parents/caregivers, school representatives, and other stakeholders as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

The pay range for this position is $60,569.60 minimum to $96,699.20 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
- Active Maryland State Occupational Therapy License.
- Current knowledge of OT theory.
