Community Integrated Services (CIS) is looking for a motivated RN - Nurse Trainer to join our team!

The Nurse Trainer will oversee the nursing services for one program in Keene, NH and also provide related training to employees. The Nurse also collaborates with residential staff, to oversee the safe medication practice for our clients, enhance their professional growth, provide accountability, and improve the quality of services provided to adults with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders.
The nurse trainer provides oversight of the medical care received by clients and will provide medication education/assistance to providers, staff and families regarding medical issues and concerns.
- Be available, for staff or provider concerns/questions regarding medication, changes in clients’ condition, hospitalization, among other needs.
- Educate providers and support teams on medication administration.
- Direct staff how best to assist in a crisis.
- Collect emergency information as needed.
- Collect information regarding medication errors.
- Quality Assurance of medication administration, per the He-M 1201 rules and regs.
- Monthly completion of the 1201 A forms for each region and submission to the appropriate area agency.
- Staff supervision and staff training
- Home visits for each client, as required
- Coordinating, preparing, teaching and testing on 1201 regulations
- Regular contact with program managers regarding any changes or updates for the client
- Coordinating with service coordinators from area agencies
Experience with IDD and TBI/ABI related behaviors is preferred; specific training will be given upon case assignment.
Some things we require:
- Registered Nurse
- Two (2) years of previous experience in a human service, hospital, rehabilitation, or educational setting.
- Valid driver’s license, working automobile, and minimum of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability insurance on automobile
- Pass NH background and DMV checks as well as BEAS and TB testing.
- Completion of all state and agency mandated training within 90 days of employment.
