Duties
- Lead engaging youth soccer practices and games, ensuring fun and safety at all times
- Develop age-appropriate training drills that enhance technical skills and teamwork
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging good sportsmanship and respectful behavior
- Monitor and manage children's behavior to maintain a safe and inclusive space
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding team updates and progress
- Assist in organizing team events, tournaments, and community outreach activities
- Maintain equipment, ensure field safety standards, and prepare materials for each session
Experience
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education to children or adolescents
- Background in soccer or other team sports such as basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts like Judo or Karate is highly desirable
- Lifeguard experience or familiarity with swimming and water safety is a plus
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive conduct among young participants
- Experience working with children in childcare settings or educational environments
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with kids, parents, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate leadership while maintaining a lively, motivating presence
