Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various systems including HVAC/R, hydraulics, and programmable logic controllers. The Hotel Maintenance Engineer will work closely with other team members to provide exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with technical sales representatives to ensure proper installation and maintenance of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns related to maintenance promptly and professionally.
- Assist in training junior staff on maintenance procedures and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with HVAC/R systems, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and industrial maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is preferred; <LOCATION> welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and implement appropriate solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English; customer service experience is highly valued.
- Military experience may be considered an asset for this position.
