Experienced Fine Gardener & Ornamental Pruning Professional

We are looking for an experienced garden professional with a strong passion for ornamental tree and shrub pruning, fine garden maintenance, and exceptional plant care.
The ideal candidate has strong tree and shrub identification skills and understands how to prune thoughtfully for structure, long-term health, natural form, and aesthetics. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in careful, artful work and enjoys helping gardens reach their full potential.
A minimum of five years of relevant residential gardening, horticulture, or landscaping experience in a professional setting is required. Demonstrated experience with ornamental tree pruning and advanced shrub pruning is especially important for this position.
Responsibilities may include:
- Fine garden maintenance and seasonal garden care
- Identifying a wide range of ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Pruning ornamental trees and shrubs for structure, health, clearance, natural form, and visual balance
- Performing detailed hand pruning and advanced shrub renovation
- Garden renovations, planting projects, and landscape enhancements
- Weeding, edging, mulching, watering, and other detailed maintenance tasks
- Working collaboratively with teammates to complete high-quality work
- Communicating clearly about site conditions, recommendations, and client needs

Ideal Qualifications
- At least five years of professional gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance experience
- Strong tree and shrub identification skills
- Proven ability to prune ornamental trees and shrubs with care and confidence
- Good understanding of pruning for structure, health, aesthetics, and plant longevity
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work throughout the season
