Overview
We are seeking a passionate Part-Time Early Childhood Math Teacher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will inspire and guide young learners through engaging math activities tailored to their developmental needs. You will design creative lesson plans, utilize manipulative materials/toys , and foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in mathematics. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s cognitive growth during their formative years.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate math curricula that align with early childhood education standards
- Use innovative teaching techniques to promote understanding of foundational concepts such as geometry, algebra, and basic statistics
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional development and active participation
- Assess individual student progress regularly and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate student achievements and areas for growth
- Maintain organized records of lesson plans, student assessments, and classroom activities
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices
- Experience with curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children
- Ability to work effectively with young children and adapt teaching methods for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and team members
- Experience teaching math or related subjects at the early childhood or preschool level is preferred
