- Location: Miami Beach, FL 33139
- Job Type: Local Contract (Temp-to-Hire)
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Friday: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM
- Some clinics may operate 8:30 AM–6:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Rotating extended hours every other month: Wednesday or Thursday 10:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday: 8:30 AM–12:30 PM (if scheduled, Friday prior is off)
- Local's Pay Range: $20- $23/hour
- Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Duties:
- Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and assist providers during examinations and treatments.
- Perform phlebotomy, including venipuncture, fingersticks, specimen labeling, processing, centrifuging, and preparation for transport.
- Support both front-office and back-office operations, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, chart preparation, follow-up calls, telephone triage, and patient registration.
- Collect and process urine and other non-blood specimens while maintaining infection control and laboratory protocols.
- Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, order inventory, and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment.
- Monitor patients during specimen collection and provide appropriate first aid or escalate concerns when necessary.
- Document patient information accurately using the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
License(s): Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or CCMA).
Certification(s): BLS Certification.
Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Important Submission Requirements:
- This is a Temp-to-Hire position. Candidates must be willing to convert to a permanent employee after the contract.
- RTO must be included with the initial submission.
- Active MA license/certification is required prior to start (in hand at submission preferred).
