Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labor Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various home remodel, renovation, and building projects. Assisting with a wide range of residential construction-related tasks to ensure smooth operations and high-quality results. Responsibilities
- Assist with various phases of residential construction, including foundation, framing, roofing, siding and interior finishes.
- Perform site prep and cleanup duties to maintain a safe, organized job site.
- Load and unload materials and distribute them to designated site areas.
- Operate hand and power tools including saws, drills, nail guns, and other residential construction equipment.
- Support carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other skilled trades on site.
- Install basic materials such as insulation, drywall, windows, and flooring under supervision.
- Follow building plans and verbal instructions to complete tasks effectively.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment issues immediately.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction site environments or related fields such as manufacturing or restoration industry preferred
- Knowledge of construction techniques including framing, roofing, siding, drywall hanging, and flooring installation
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution
- Familiarity with Minnesota and Wisconsin building codes and safety procedures
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting (100lbs+), prolonged periods of standing or walking, ability to work in all weather conditions and climb ladders.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety protocols and quality standards
- Valid Drivers License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites around the Twin Cities, St. Croix Valley and Western Wisconsin
- Clean driving record and criminal record
- Previous experience in restoration projects including water damage or mold remediation is advantageous.
- Pay is DOE.
