We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Family Medical Doctor to join our dynamic healthcare team to support Primary Care Outpatient Clinic and Mercy Rehabilition in-pateint services. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews, to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties such as pulmonology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, and more to coordinate care strategies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Perform diagnostic procedures including imaging interpretation (e.g., radiology, ultrasound) and laboratory result analysis to support clinical decisions.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and post-acute care environments.
- Provide patient education on health management, preventive care, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic and Athena or similar platforms for seamless documentation and data retrieval.
- Experience in multiple specialties including anesthesiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, cardiology, pulmonology, radiology, orthopedics, pathology, pediatrics, neurology, internal medicine, urology, psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), otolaryngology, endocrinology, infectious disease care, critical care (ICU), neonatal intensive care (NICU), hospice & palliative medicine, trauma medicine, nursing homes, rehabilition hospitals, and others.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging techniques such as CT scans or nuclear medicine procedures.
- Skilled in performing procedures like suturing, IV infusion administration, airway management techniques including ventilator use and intubation.
- Experience with hospital-based practices including inpatient care, emergency room response (triage), perioperative care (pre/post-surgery), and discharge planning.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare professionals and educating patients effectively.
- Demonstrated post-residency experience in clinical research or specialized fields such as interventional radiology or reproductive endocrinology is preferred but not mandatory.
