Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and maintain detailed medication logs
- Operate manual handling techniques safely for resident transfers and heavy lifting tasks to prevent injury
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Engage in light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas to maintain a hygienic environment
- Communicate effectively with clients about their needs and preferences to foster trust and comfort
- Follow safety protocols including first aid procedures and CPR certification standards to respond promptly during emergencies
- Drive residents or clients safely using standard passenger cars when required for appointments or outings
Experience
- Prior assisted living or long-term care experience is highly preferred, especially within geriatrics or senior care settings
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or cognitive impairments, including Alzheimer's or dementia care
- Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and safe patient lifting practices is essential
- Experience in home & community care environments or residential care homes is advantageous
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for residents with behavioral challenges or mental health conditions
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families
- Hands-on experience in caregiving roles that involve personal support, meal preparation, cleaning, and group home activities
