Overview: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Community Manager to support the successful lease-up of a new apartment community. This role is critical to achieving occupancy goals, maintaining financial performance and delivering an exceptional resident experience. The ideal candidate brings strong collections expertise, operational efficiency, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:

Financial Performance & Collections

Drive on-time rent collections and ensure accurate posting of all resident and applicant payments

Proactively manage delinquency by communicating with residents, securing payments, and escalating accounts to collections when necessary

Prepare final account statements and pursue outstanding balances through resolution

Manage security deposit accounts, including third-party enrollment, claims, and refunds

Complete weekly and monthly financial reporting with accuracy and timeliness
Lease Administration & Compliance

Oversee the full resident lifecycle, including applications, lease execution, renewals, notices, and move-out documentation

Ensure all files and documentation are complete, compliant, and audit-ready

Execute eviction processes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements, including court representation as needed
Resident Experience

Deliver prompt, professional, and solution-oriented responses to resident inquiries and concerns

Build positive relationships to support retention and minimize escalations

Maintain a polished, customer-focused presence in all interactions
Leasing & Lease-Up Support

Partner with the leasing team to drive occupancy through tours, application conversion, and move-in coordination

Assist with applicant screening, lease preparation, and onboarding of new residents

Support ongoing leasing efforts to meet aggressive lease-up goals
Operations & Team Support

Collaborate closely with the Community Manager and site team to meet performance targets

Ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining organization and attention to detail

Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the community, residents, and leadership team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner

3+ years related experience preferred

Bachelor’s Degree preferred
