Front Staff Wanted / Brooklyn
We are hiring a front staff member for a Japanese grocery and takeout store in Brooklyn.
Responsibilities include operating the register, customer service, handling orders, packing takeout items, stocking and restocking, and assisting with simple food prep.This is not a cashier-only position. You will be expected to support the overall flow of the store and help wherever needed.
Pay: NYC minimum wage
Business hours: 10:00 AM-9:00 PM
We are currently especially looking for someone available during the following shifts:
- Monday 5:00 PM-close
- Sunday 10:30 AM-close
Days and shift times may be somewhat flexible, but priority will be given to applicants who can work both Monday and Sunday.
Customer service experience, comfort communicating with customers in English, the ability to stay aware and work efficiently during busy periods, and long-term availability are preferred.
Japanese speakers are a big plus.
