About this job:
A substitute teacher (Daily Guest Teacher) fills in for regular teachers, following lesson plans, managing the classroom, and maintaining a productive learning environment. They adapt to different grades and subjects to support students' learning.
**All substitute teachers and paraprofessionals are requested to work a minimum of 7 assignments a month.

- Guest Teacher/Substitute Salary:
- $23.861 per hour/$190.888 per full day for 1 or 3 year sub authorization
- $29.827 per hour/$238.616 per full day for a 5 year sub authorization, Initial or Professional Teacher's License.

What You'll Do:
Daily Guest Teacher Substitute
- Organize students for effective instruction and learning while maintaining classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students.
- Motivate student learning and academic participation while ensuring the integrity of academic time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school Principal.
What You’ll Need:
Daily Guest Teacher Substitute
- Have ONE of the following valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Licenses (DPS does accept a CDE Application Receipt for 90 days.)
- 1 year or 3 year Substitute Authorization
- Initial Teaching License, Professional Teaching License or 5 year Substitute Teaching License
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related preferred.
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.
