Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning through play, activities, and structured curriculum.
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by encouraging positive behavior management and effective classroom management techniques.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in compliance with health standards.
- Use your knowledge of childhood development to monitor progress and tailor activities to meet individual needs, especially when working with children with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during the day.
- Ensure the classroom environment is organized, clean, and stimulating—fostering curiosity and independence among children.
- Apply first aid when necessary and follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure environment for all children.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom experience managing groups of young children while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for early education.
- Experience caring for infants or toddlers, including infant care routines such as feeding and diapering.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to support inclusive learning environments.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; ongoing training in behavior management or special education is a plus.
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience that showcases your ability to nurture and engage children effectively.
