About Highwater
Highwater Restoration is a new water, fire, mold, and smoke damage restoration company built to be the high-water mark in our industry. We're hiring our founding field and growth hire: someone who can run a job site with their hands and build our book of business with their reputation and charisma. This is a ground-floor seat. You'll help write the playbook, and your earning ceiling moves with the company you help build.
What you'll do
Field and mitigation work is the priority. When there's a job, you run it. When there isn't one in the queue, you're out building the relationships that bring the next one in. The right person is good at both.
In the field (production)
- Respond to water, fire, mold, and smoke losses, including emergency calls outside normal hours
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, and moisture mapping
- Handle demolition, debris removal, mold remediation, and fire/smoke cleanup
- Set up, monitor, and maintain drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters)
- Document every job with photos, moisture readings, and drying logs to IICRC S500 standards
- Be the calm, credible first face on-site, explain the scope clearly, and secure signed work authorization
Building the business (between jobs)
When there's no job in the queue, you're not sitting still. You're out building the relationships that fill it.
- Build and own referral relationships with plumbers, insurance agents and adjusters, property managers, realtors, and general contractors
- Make in-person visits, drop-ins, and follow-ups that turn into a steady flow of work
- Represent Highwater at networking events and in the community
- Keep your own contacts and pipeline organized in our CRM
Field work always comes first. Your performance bonuses and your growth here are tied directly to the business you build in the downtime.
Who you are
- Construction, trades, restoration, and/or sales experience (any mix works, we'll train the rest)
- Charismatic and genuinely personable, people trust you quickly
- Sharp, resourceful, and hardworking, you figure things out and you don't quit on a problem
- Comfortable being on-call and working odd hours when a loss happens (it always happens at a bad time)
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in wet, tight, or dusty spaces like crawlspaces and attics
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification is a plus. If you don't have it, we'll pay for you to get certified
What's in it for you
- Founding-employee seat at a company being built the right way, no legacy baggage, no scammy practices
- $25-30/hour base plus performance bonuses, with a real path to $200k+ for a top performer who drives growth
- Equity is on the table for the right person as you prove you can win
- A clear path into leadership (operations, general manager) as we scale across the Wasatch Front and Back
- The chance to build something instead of just clocking in
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
