Position Summary: The Fulfillment Technician I supports pharmacy operations by executing order fulfillment, packaging, and shipment preparation activities within a sterile compounding environment. This role is responsible for ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately, prepared efficiently, and staged appropriately for pharmacist verification and delivery. This role supports order completion, inventory organization, and workflow continuity to ensure all prescriptions are ready for next-day delivery. The Fulfillment Technician I follows established procedures and compliance standards to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and quality across all tasks.
Essential Functions:
· Enters prescription data accurately into the pharmacy management system.
· Prepares labels, organizes documentation, and stages prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
· Fulfills, packages, and prepares medications for shipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
· Supports evening order tracking and ensures all prescriptions are completed and prepared for next-day delivery.
· Assists with inventory restocking and organization of supplies to support workflow efficiency.
· Maintains clean, organized workstations in compliance with USP <797> and <800> standards.
· Collaborates with pharmacists and technicians to complete daily production and fulfillment targets.
· Ensures all tasks are performed in alignment with established workflows, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
· Supports production metrics to maintain expected efficiency and performance standards.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License required; PTCB certification preferred.
· Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment preferred; sterile compounding experience preferred but not required.
· Familiarity with USP <797> and <800> standards preferred.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures and maintain accuracy.
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to manage time effectively and meet production and workflow deadlines.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
