As an RN, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders while helping create a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $32.00–$49.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, education, certifications, and other job-related qualifications.
Eligible employees may receive applicable holiday pay and overtime opportunities in accordance with facility policy.
Sign-On Bonus
Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Registered Nurses
The sign-on bonus is paid in installments during the employee's first year of employment and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable sign-on bonus agreement.
Schedule
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
RNs are scheduled seven shifts during a two-week pay period with alternating weekend coverage.
This position may require holiday shifts based on staffing needs, patient care requirements, and departmental scheduling. Employees are not scheduled to work every holiday.
Eligible employees may receive applicable holiday pay in accordance with facility policy.

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is a 108-bed behavioral health hospital serving patients throughout South Carolina. Position Summary
RNs provides primary care coordination for patients and implements collaborative treatment plans prescribed by physicians and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities include assessing mental health needs, developing nursing diagnoses, identifying outcomes, planning and evaluating nursing care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, ensuring patient safety, and utilizing therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response, side effects, and adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support to patients.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other treatment team members.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery goals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and discharge planning activities.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent nursing experience preferred.
- Nurses with experience in behavioral health, emergency services, medical-surgical nursing, critical care, rehabilitation, long-term care, home health, hospice, corrections, or related specialties are encouraged to apply.
Licensure and Certification
- Current South Carolina RN license or compact state RN license required.
- CPI training provided upon hire.
