Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team on temporary basis for completion of an onsite project in the Philadelphia area. We expect this job to last 3-5 months. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position involves various carpentry tasks, from framing to finishing work on a multi-family residential construction project in the Bartram Village of Southwest Philadelphia.
Key Responsibilities as Directed by Project Manager may include but not be limited to
- Service of wood framing such as rafters, partitions, joists, and stud walls
- Service of cabinets, flooring, drywall, spackling, painting, and insulation
- Installing doors, millwork, and hardware
- Completion of and service to factory construction scope
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation
- Proficiency with electrical and manual equipment (powered saws, drills, etc.)
- Strong commitment to safety guidelines and procedures
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Reliable Transportation to and from Jobsite
- Dependability
- Minimum OSHA 10 required for safety
Work Details
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8-hour shifts with overtime if approved
- Location: Bartram Village jobsite, Southwest Philadelphia
- Work Environment: indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions
Prevailing Wage Hourly Rate :
Carpenter Base Rate - $47.83
Required Fringe - $29.23
Total Carpenter Rate - $77.06
