Crusher Ground Technician

About the Position
Black Rock Services is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Crusher Ground Technician to join our aggregate production team. This is a hands-on position supporting the daily operation, inspection, maintenance, and cleanliness of our crushing plant.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes initiative, pays attention to equipment and surroundings, and is willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor crushers, screens, conveyors, belts, bearings, rollers, and other plant components for signs of wear or potential problems.
- Perform routine plant inspections, greasing, and lubrication, and report equipment concerns as they are identified.
- Shovel and remove material buildup to maintain safe and efficient plant operations.
- Operate skid steers and telehandlers as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, including removal of used parts, hardware, scrap, and debris.
- Continually monitor the plant for equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or anything that could affect production.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance as directed.
- Follow all MSHA requirements, company safety policies, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and required PPE standards.
- Assist with additional crushing plant and production duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in crushing equipment, maintenance, and aggregate production.
- Previous mining, crushing, construction, industrial, or mechanical experience preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools. Welding and cutting experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize and communicate potential equipment problems.
- Self-motivated and able to stay productive with limited supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.
- Willing to learn new equipment, processes, and maintenance skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including bending, climbing, shoveling, lifting, and working around plant equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, dust, and changing weather conditions.
- Comfortable working around loud equipment and an active aggregate crushing operation.
- Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a compressed work schedule:
- 3 days one week, 4 days the following week
- Typical hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Overtime and weekends may be required based on operational needs
